Octopus Productions will hold Open Call Auditions on Wednesday, May 23rd, and Thursday, May 24th at OSU-Lima's Reed Hall in the Martha Farmer Theatre for the Performing Arts.

We are interested in seeing people for our upcoming season (Villain DeBlanks, It's Too Darn Hot, Love Letters) but also future productions.  There are scheduled 5-minute time slots from 6:00pm - 9:00pm both evenings. Each hour will include a 15 minute Dance Call -- this is NOT REQUIRED but we are interested in seeing people's capabilities.

It's Too Darn Hot will be a late summer concert outside on the Happy Daz Patio at the Veterans Memorial Civic & Convention Center on Thursday, August 16th & Saturday, August 18th at 8:00pm (Skipping Friday due to the Rally in the Square).  This concert will feature music of early Broadway (George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Rodgers & Hart, Irving Berlin, and others of this era).  Please bring a short section (verse & chorus) from one of these composers or similar style. No modern musical theater or pop music, please. An accompanist will be provided, please bring sheet music in your key.

To be considered for Villain DeBlanks and Love Letters we will have you do a cold reading provided at the time of the audition.  Both of these shows are done with one rehearsal.  Villain Deblanks has a cast of 6 characters and we will most likely have a different cast for each of the two performances (June 23rd and July 21st).  Love Letters is a cast of two and we could have different couples for each performance in February (Dates of performance TBD).  Watch the video below to see more about Villain DeBlanks

(As you might expect from an Adult Mad-Libs, this video contains some language!)

We want to see your talents -- Bring a song, do a cold reading, stay for the dance call! Show off for us... make us laugh, make us cry or want to get up and dance.  We're interested in seeing your talents for this season and also upcoming shows!
